Team Members & Brief Introduction to This Project

Brief Introduction:

We want to build a “Dressing matching” system. In this system, there is a database containing lots of human pictures, those guys might have different dressing. User will give a picture containing certain dressing, which is the query picture, and the system will search all the pictures in the database, and return pictures that there is some guy wearing this kind of dressing. And we will focus on how to match the dressing instead of speeding up the searching time in the database.

Some techniques we may apply to the system are (1) Face Detection, (2) Torso Detection, (3) Extraction of dressing features(color, texture, etc), and (4) CBIR.

Tools:

• fdlib (or OpenCV) for face detection

Procedure:

1. Detect one’s face in an image.
2. Locate one’s torso indirectively.
3. Find the maximum region in one’s torso
4. Extract dressing features
5. CBIR
